On 27th May, China Tianying was invited to participate in the 14th China Foreign Investment Cooperation Fair. He Zhenwei, president of China Overseas Development Association, Li Gang, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee and executive deputy director of the Management Committee of China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area (SCODA), delivered speeches on behalf of the organisers at the opening ceremony. H. E. Mr Farhod Arziev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to China, delivered a speech on behalf of the host country of this year's Fair. 23 ambassadors and 186 senior diplomats were present at the ceremony. Sirdaryo Region and Samarkand of Uzbekistan, and Turkistan Region of Kazakhstan organised large delegations to China to participate in the fair. Mr Xu Chengzhi, Vice President of China Tianying attended the event.
Speakers at the Opening Ceremony included: Boris Tadi?, former President of Serbia; Vladimir Norov, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan; Sergei Glazyev, Commissioner for Integration and Macroeconomics within the Eurasian Economic Commission; Nuryshev Shakhrat, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to China; Hussam Al Husseini, Jordanian Ambassador to China; Siyabonga Cwele, South African Ambassador to China; Bishnu Pukar Shrestha, Nepalese Ambassador to China; Sun Xinjun, Party Secretary of Beijing Dongcheng District; Wu Yun, Deputy General Manager of China Energy Engineering Corporation, and others.
As a member of China Overseas Development Association, CNTY has been actively exploring cooperation opportunities with the countries of the Belt and Road Initiative in the field of sustainable development and new energy, so as to contribute our strength to the construction of the "Belt and Road" energy partnership.
After the meeting, Liu Chunyang, Director of Foreign Affairs of CNTY, met with Akmal Mahmudaliev, governor of Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan, with the participation of deputy governor of Syrdarya, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, director from the Ministry of Agriculture, representatives from the Chamber of Commerce.
Liu introduced to the Syrdarya delegation the basic situation of CNTY, its technological background and rich experience in the field of environmental protection and new energy, and hoped to carry out more cooperation with Syrdarya in the future. Governor Mahmudaliev welcomed the visit of CNTY, hoped that CNTY can introduce advanced technology to Uzbekistan, and invited CNTY to visit Uzbekistan in the future.
